Taunt's Build For WvW and PvE
There will be three separate sections of builds:
1. PvE Only
2. WvW Only
3. PvE and WvW
PvE:
All my PvE set ups use the same armor / weapon stats:
Obtain the specific weapons based on the build.
Armor:
Helm - Knight
Shoulder - Berserker
Chest - Knight
Hands - Berserker
Legs - Knight
Foot - Berserker
Trinkets:
All Berserker
Weapons:
Axe - Berserker
Mace - Berserker
GS - Berserker
Longbow - Berserker
Rifle - Berserker
Shield - Berserker
*Note Reason for weapons:
Axe - Highest sustained damage with auto attack and Vulnerability from #2.
Mace - Optimal offhand for damage, #4 provides vulnerability and #5 a knockdown.
GS - Highest Burst damage with #2 and #3 (Whirling blades does the highest damage when the enemy is near a wall)
Longbow - AOE Range, when things simply get too hard.
Rifle - More damage vs 1 enemy, compared to longbow
Shield - When you need that "extra dodge", a Shield stance will come in handy.
Sigils:
Axe - Superior Sigil of Accuracy
Mace - Superior Sigil of Perception
GS - Superior Sigil of Battle
Longbow - Superior Sigil of Leeching
Rifle - Superior Sigil of Leeching
Shield - Superior Sigil of Leeching
Runes:
4x Ruby Orbs
2x Superior Rune of Water
Food:
Omnomberry Pie
Superior Sharpening Stone
Potion of _______ (Depending on dungeons)
Omnomberry Bars (For Grinding, like in CoF)
Axe/Mace + GS

The standard "maximize" dps build.
The theory behind this build is to swap to GS for #2 (Hundred Blades) and #3 (Whirling Blade) for its burst damage, then to switch back to Axe/Mace for its auto attack damage.
The "Shake it Off" skill can be replaced / swaped with "Balanced Stance" for the stability.
Axe/Mace + __________

Slight changes depending on the user:
1. Take 10 out of Arms (Rending Strikes), and place them into Tactics for "Inspiring Battle Standard" to keep regeneration for the team.
2. Take 10 out of Tactics (Inspiring battle standard), and place them into Strength for "Axe Mastery" for more damage.
The swap is situational.
I often use Longbow, Rifle and Shield on switch depending on what I need.

WvW
WvW:
Armor:
Helm - Knight
Shoulder - Knight
Chest - Knight
Hands - Knight
Legs - Knight
Foot - Knight
Trinkets:
Cavalier (Pow/Toughness/% Crit Damage)
Knight
*Note - I haven't found the optimal way to maximize damage between % Crit chance and % Crit damage, so use Knight's for more crit %, and Cavalier for more % crit damage. Above 50% Crit chance is good.
If you feel you need more % crit chance, swap some cavalier for Knights. And the opposite true if you wan't more crit damage.
Weapons:
Hammer - Knight
Sword - Knight
Shield - Knight
Warhorn - Any
Longbow - Knight
Sigils:
Hammer - Superior Sigil of Rage
Sword - Superior Sigil of Blood
Shield - Superior Sigil of Leeching
Warhorn - Doesn't matter
Longbow - Superior Sigil of Force
Runes:
2x Superior Rune of Monk
2x Superior Rune of Water
2x Major Rune of Sanctuary
Food:
Mango Pies
Superior Sharpening Stone / Master Maintenance Oil
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQNAS8ejgOtwxQ+OMxBA0jq4aLlC7qLpQsyA
Weapon Choices:
Hammer: The ultimate crowd control weapon. Hammer Burst provides an AOE Stun, #4 provides a AOE Knockback, #% provides a single Knockdown, #3 provides Cripple And Immobolize due to Tactics I, #2 provides weakness.
Sword: The escape and the immobolize. Sword Burst provides an AOE 4.5 second immobolize, #3 provides an 8.5 second cripple and a 1 second immobolize, #2 leaps for 600 range (very useful for chasing and escaping) and gets a way out of immobolize.
Shield: The tank. Shield #4 provides a 1 second stun and a quick way to get out of immobolize (Discipline X), while #5 lets you block opponents for 3 seconds.
Warhorn. The group swiftness / vigor. Simply swap this item while traveling, and the group has an instant 18 second swiftness and vigor.
Longbow: When finding siege over walls or places where melee simply cannot hit, switch Tactics VI (Empowered) to Tactics IV (Longer Bowstrings) to use #5 and #3 to AOE Siege.
*Note (Optimal skill rotation): Hammer Burst, #4, #5 and walk towards enemy, #2.
For Perma Stun, while you watch your team kill: Hammer Burst, #4, #5 and walk towards enemy, #2, Switch to Sword+Shield, #4, #3, Sword Burst.

PvE + WvW
PvE + WvW:
The only changes to this are the armor stats, runes and back, everything else remains the same.
Armor:
Helm - Knight
Shoulder - Berserker
Chest - Knight
Hands - Berserker
Legs - Knight
Foot - Berserker
Runes:
4x Ruby Orbs
2x Superior Rune of Water
Trinket:
Back: Cavalier (Ascended)
*Note: This is because getting two different ascended back pieces are simply too expensive. If you feel you don't want to pay for two different sets of jewelry, you can use Celestial stats, however you're armor and damage will suffer depending on WvW / PvE.
